There is always a twist for the DT! Along with the Summers Last Hurrah we are to add paper piecing! If you like, play along with us and add that too!
How cute are these Tennis Shoes? I have this fun dp called, "Summer Lovin" that worked great for paper piecing. Here the Tennis Shoes have been stamped three times. First I stamped them onto white Neenah paper. I then stamped onto the pattern dp just the pair of shoes I wanted, masking off the other two. I repeated this step only this time I stamped the shoes onto the solid color papers.
After paper piecing them together I used a small hole punch to make the eyelets. I've laced up the shoes and tied the bows with a thin silk ribbon. With the left over short ribbons I used Copics to color them to match the papers. I've randomly tied the ribbons together and used them for a border across the bottom.
Here's the inside of my card.
Summertime ends, memories made, and we remember our Friends Forever!
I am also entering my card in Virginia's View Challenge #7
