IMPRESSION OBSESSION DT THURSDAY

Today I'm sharing a mini trio set that is easy and fun!

I have stamped in Versafine the lavender silhouette that is from IO's Twinchies 1 Cling Set.
To make the BG I used Distress Oxide Inks and Stardream paper from The Papercut.
Impression Obsession carries so many types of stamps that are wonderful for this technique.
The Love Lines are the perfect compliment for these clean and simple cards!

There are four images in the Twinchies 1 Cling Set.
The bold images were stamped onto the backgrounds using the MISTI.

A look at the image before cutting!

The cards are 3 3/4 squared.
These make for an easy gift!

OXIDES INKS

Happy Friday and hello Distress Oxide Inks!
Have you played with Oxide Inks yet? I am having so much fun splashing water around and discovering how they react. It's interesting to see the results using different papers!
Speaking of splashing...here are two cards made with the Fishes stamp from Carabelle Studio.

The Oxide Inks used were the same colors for both cards along with the same color Zig Watercolor Markers. The only difference... the color of ink stamped for the fishes and embossing powder.

Two totally different looks!

The fish were stamped in Yetti White onto Strathmore Mixed Media and then heat embossed.
I then applied Molotow, liquid masking fluid, over the fish. This protects the stamped image from getting any of the Oxide Inks from the BG on them. Be sure that Molotow is dry before starting the BG!

Here's the fun...! Swirling of color and playing with water.
I love the results and now it's time to unveil the fish and give them some color.
After watercoloring the fish I went back and added black gloss to their eyes.

Black Versafine ink was used here along with heat embossing in clear powder.
Exact same colors with Distress Oxides and Zigs.
Which look do you like best?

Tomorrow, Saturday April 15th, Impressive Ideas will be doing demo's with these wonderful Distress Oxide Inks. Come and see what we love about them and what papers are our favorites. Demo's will be from 2-6, hope to see you there. Plenty of inks and re-inkers in stock but they come and go fast!

Today I am sharing with you the Tea Set.
I have made two cards giving you totally different looks!

I first went with an Asian flair. The bold red teapot was embossed with a daisy design folder and then heat embossed in clear. The paper is from the Hanami Garden Collection. The NEW Pink Clouds stamps and dies, (Cherry Blossoms) would be stunning to use with this theme also.

Tea with a friend!
This darling die set is perfect for an invite or a friendly hello. Check out the fun, tiny tea bag in the cup! I added a few embellishments and the Saucy paper giving this card a retro look.

Serendipity has many images of florals, but today I have inked up the Clover.
I love flowers, foliages and even some weeds! The clover gets a bad rap but they are drought tolerant and they bloom!
