Who says the ladybug is red?
There really is white, yellow, pink, orange, black, and yes, red!

The Ladybug Die is too cute! I really had fun with this layout. The Ladybug Hugs stamp is also a new spring release. I think it works just perfectly with the die! All layers and bugs are popped up with foam tape!

It's whimsy feel, crisp cuts and embossed details make this die so great.
Don't you just love the designs on her?

I've used the Love Die to finish the inside.
The little scrollies and circles used at the bottom were actually the cut outs from the Ladybug Die
Such fun, right!

I think this Bunny Die is precious!

This reminds me of a chocolate bunny...Yum! I went with an Easter theme but don't you think the Bunny Die would also be great for a baby card!

The embossing detail lines are beautiful!

On the inside I used the sweet "Somebunny Loves You" stamp. I think that this stamp would also be wonderful on a baby card.

Our first die to share is the Shamrock. Isn't the detail beautiful! I love how this is made with the Hearts and Celtic Knots. I am always amazed by how clean and easy these dies cut.

I went with a CAS design. The edging around my card is actually the shamrock cut into 3 pieces which formed heart shapes. I repeated the steps 4 times. I attached the hearts around the square layer to give a nice scalloped edge. Each layer is popped up with foam tape. The shamrock is embellished with a simple jewel in the center. Soooo easy!

I also edged the sentiment with the Shamrock Die leaving a little more of the design showing.

On the inside I used the Happy St. Patty's Day stamp.

Now, on to the next blog...
See you tomorrow!

GIMMIE HUGS!

This is one of the many fun Ai Valentines stamps.

Tina is showing through the opening of the heart die cut from Serendipity.
I've trimmed the edged with purple twine. Purple is the HOT color this year...so I am told!
I've added embellishments of hearts and pearls and of course the funny sentiment from the Tina Stamp Set.

Inside the card you can see Tina being carried away! She has been colored with Copics and I've added a touch of Wink of Stella to her dres for shimmer.
Gimmie Hugs is from Ai's new 2014 Valentines collection.

Thanks for looking and I always appreciate your comments!

GIRLS TRIP!

Who doesn't love a vacation with the girls!
Every year for the past 25 years, my girlfriends and I have done a trip together...all 10 of us! CRAZY FUN, right?!!
"Trips Ahoy"! AI Challenge 126 is to create something with a nautical, or travel theme.
The "Picture Perfect" image from Art Impressions is sooooo us!

I wanted the arm holding the camera to be raised and on the outside of the lifesaver. To achieve this, the out of box technique was used.

I love all of the Girlfriends stamps from AI. Their challenge is going on until 1/29...check out all the fun!

Thanks for looking!

The DT was challenged to use a chalkboard technique and buttons. Here are their links:
Karen Amidon...me!

The Cottage image was inked with Versa Magic- Cloud White onto black cardstock. It was then embossed with detailed white. I repeated the same steps with the "friends" stamp. With a white chalk pencil I ran a line near the edge of the rectangle die. The fun buttons repeat the colors in the paper.

For the inside, the Welcome stamp turned out perfect for the chalkboard technique! I thought this card would be fun to give to a new neighbor. The buttons were made from circle dies and a small hole punch.
Splitcoaststampers has wonderful tutorials. The Chalkboard technique can be found here by Beate Johns.

Here are your links to our buttons!

I love the detailed image of these Morning GloriesWe were challenged to use Words Of Encouragement or a Get Well theme along with buttons. I got a little carried away in coloring and almost forgot the buttons...oops!

I inked up the Morning Glory stamp several times.Taking the circle dies, I moved them around on the flowers until I chose my image. Next I took the two die cuts and placed them in position on the card. I matched up the same stamped flowers and fussy cut them.

The petals and leaves were curved with a ball stylus. I cut some of the petals almost to the center of the flower. I lifted each petal and used Collall to help pop them up and keep their shape and dimension.

The Never Give Up stamp was used inside.
We all need words of encouragement!

Looking forward to seeing your designs!
