Here are a few ideas from the gals for those last minute gifts

"Do you wanna build a snowman?" Isn't this a cute way to package those yummy holiday snowball cookies? I have had so much fun using the sayings from the Frozen Collection.

The top of the mason jar was covered with burlap. I used the the Snowflakes Die Set to decorate the top and tag. Add a bow, a little Wink of Stella and you have a wonderful and easy "last minute gift"!

Thanks for looking and can't wait to see your ideas!

This card was inspired by Tosha Leyendekker with Stamp Talk with Tosh. Her work is amazing and she has such a beautiful style!  You can see her gorgeous card  here.

I love gold, silver and platinum used together. I have taken the beautiful  Mistletoe image from Serendipity and heat embossed it in platinum. The oval die cut and dp were edged in silver with a Krylon pen. A gold pen and creamy brown Cat's Eye chalk was used to edge the other papers.

The berries on the mistletoe were dotted with Viva Glitter Liner which gives them a subtle silvery shimmer! I've colored the silk ribbon with Copics to match the metallic  paper.

Thanks for looking and Happy Holidays!

IO HOLIDAY CARDS

It's the most wonderful time of the year!
And it's Friday...Yay!

This snowman from Impression Obsession is decked out for the holidays! I love his santa hat and paper pieced scarf. With the Snowman Set you have the option of two different hats. Add your creative flair and have fun designing your own little guy! The background is dry embossed with a snowflake pattern. A few snowy hills, bows and a banner made from the Holiday Bottom Word Edgers complete the card.

Another easy card made with Impression Obsession dies. I started out using the Snowflake Background. A beautiful die by itself but I just kept going! I dry embossed the Christmas Trees instead of having the cut outs. A big red circle was added to break up the busy patterns! The trees and circle were edged in silver with a Krylon pen.

For the inside I have used the beautiful, "Seasons Greetings" die, which cuts like butter! The snowflakes were cut from the Snowflake Background die.

Thanks for looking and Happy Holidays!

IO ~ CHRISTMAS MORNING

I have used the Christmas Morning stamp for the image that you are seeing through the Window. Dina's silhouettes tell such a story!

In the window box I have used the Small Bow die and the greenery is from the Fir Sprig Set. The Holly Flourish cascades down the brick and shutter.

For the inside of the card I used, "Christmas is Love"

This is the same image that I used for the scene behind the window! This really captures Christmas Morning!

Thanks for looking!

Karen Amidon...that's me!

Impression Obsession dies are a wonderful way to make a CAS holiday card. I think the Angels  in the gold foil die cuts  are so elegant. The Holiday Bottom Word Edgers have been a favorite of mine this card making season.

The beautiful saying for the inside is Heavenly Peace.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful week!

"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"

I just smile when I look at this guy, he is just too cute! Snowmen are a favorite of mine and Serendipity has some really great images to ink up! The Snowman and Fence has been inked up and colored with Copics. I have stamped his scarf and hat trim with Memento onto a pattern dp and then fussy cut. There are lots of different snow textures going on here! Clear Wink of Stella was brushed on first, of course, my favorite! Next, I used touches of the Snow Marker which was puffed up with the heat gun! I added more sparkly snow with the Viva Glitter Liner, Holo Iridescent. Transparent Gloss Gel shines on his nose and his coal has been highlighted with Viva Gloss Gel in black.

Where there is snow there is cold! And "Baby it's Cold Outside"!

Stay warm and thanks for looking!

I've used a three different pine dies from Impression Obsession to make this swag.
The Pine Branch die was used for my base. I die cut the Pine Pair several times in a heavy weight paper. The pinecone dies are from the Pine Sprig Cluster.

Distress inks were used to highlight how beautifully detailed the embossed design is on the pinecones.

Here is another card using the same dies. The Season's Greetings was made using the Holiday Bottom Word Edgers. Love these dies and there are three different greeting to this set!

Your next stop on the hop is NOELLE McADAMS-PAPER & ICE

Time to get Cozy!

All cozy in front of a warm fire! Isn't the new Fireplace die wonderful? There is so much detail on the woodwork and bricks. I have die cut some of the pieces a few times and layered them for dimension. IO recently released a collection of new dies that are incredible and perfect for making holiday projects. If you haven't seen them, take a look here!

The garland on the mantel was made using the Fir Sprig Set and the Holly Leaf Cluster die. I have curved and shaped the foliage using a ball stylus. A special, "Season's Greetings" banner was made from the Holiday Bottom EdgersI have added Flower Soft for the fur on top of the stockings.

I love the set of three Evergreen Trees that flank the sides of the fireplace. A cozy home needs a sweet cat curled up next to the fireplace! The Cat Set comes with six different cat dies!

For the inside I used the, "Warm and Cozy" sentiment. Love this font and it's the perfect sentiment for a holiday greeting!

Thanks for looking and stay warm and cozy!

I have used the Wheat Sheaf in two different ways on my card. I stamped the image onto a Gelli Plate that had tangerine and umber paint on it for my background paper. The other stamped image was colored with Copics.
For my repurpose items I found sticks, feathers and leaves to incorporate in my design! From an old dictionary I tore out the words and definitions to, "thankful, grateful, family, health and love"! IRL the green paper and orange pumpkin are toned down!!

I made a second card using the same technique with the Gelli Plate. The Wheat Sheaf is in the background along with the imprint of a wooden piece and coil brad. I took a gold Krylon pen and colored the chipboard and wooden pieces. Thankful was stamped in Memento Luxe, Rich Cocoa.

  • Stamps: Serendipity- 1028G Wheat Sheaf, 397E Thankful
  • Paper: Neenah, Bazzill, Authentique- 6x6 Thankful
