SWEET AUTUMN POP-UP BOX!

I love the changing of the seasons and fall is my favorite time of the year. When I first saw these dies I knew that I wanted to make a pop-up box using them! The, "All seasons Sweet" stamp from Count Your Blessings Cling Set was the perfect sentiment to be used on the front.

Check out the detail on the Picket Fence, isn't that wood grain wonderful?! That's just from the die cut, no embossing!

This box is packed full of fun dies! The Squirrel Set made this scene come to life, they even have tiny acorns in their mouths!

The Bushel of Apples is nested in the Small Grass. The Pumpkin Patch has leaves tucked and scattered around it to camouflage the divider in the box.
I've used the Reading Tree and added leaves to it. There is a rake leaning up against the fence which is from the Oak Leaves and Rake die set.

And now the birds eye view of all the new fantastic fall dies that I've used!
For more details on the hop you can go here!
All the new dies that you are seeing on the blog hop are available now at your local stamp stores and online at the IO Store

Have fun and thanks for looking!

Poisonous Potions

The Halloween card I made using the Mixed Drink Set I thought would make a fun invitation to a party. I heat embossed the stamp from the Have Broom Will Travel Set with detailed white ep. Next I used the dies to cut the drink glass shapes out from the black paper. The back side of black paper was then lined with a heavy weight vellum. I ran the dies again using orange and purple paper. The purple drinking straw was glued onto the vellum first. The orange glass die cuts were glued next onto the vellum. Wiggly eyeballs and a frothy drink made with liquid appliqué make for a scary concoction!

A bold and simple inside using the Halloween To Do stamp and those fun glass die cuts again!

Thanks for looking and enjoy the hop!

Today I am playing along with Ai's Pumpkin Pie Set, she's so cute!

If she looks a little blurry thats because she is a "mover and shaker" by being on an Action Wobble! Love those things!

PAPER SMOOCHES CHALLENGE~ANYTHING GOES!

My last post I shared a sneak peak of this Halloween pop-up box. I have used the Ghoulfriends Stamp Set from Paper Smooches along with their Halloween Icon Dies for the main design. These boxes are fun and easy to make.
I am playing along in the challenge at Paper Smooches with ANYTHING GOES! Their challenge runs from September 21-27th.

GHOULFRIENDS HALLOWEEN BOX!

Love these little ghouls, they are so cute!
The white ghoul was heat embossed with detail white ep onto black paper.  For the green ghoul, it was stamped with lime green pigment ink from ColorBox. A candy corn was put in one hand and "You are faboolous" in the other. The ghoul was embellished with a witches hat and wiggly eyes. These have been attached to the box with acetate which gives movement to all the die cuts and stamped pieces.

I have glued a die cut spiderweb onto one of the dividers in the box to help hide
the acetate strips. The other die cut spiderweb was attached to the back of the box with a jeweled spider hanging off of it. The Mesh Texture that is stamped on the sides is from Impression Obsession along with the "To Do" List.

When the box is closed it is an A2 size card. I have a few things peeping out from the sides and top for fun!

Thanks for looking!
Have a happy ghoulfriends day!

Yay, It's Thursday and time for another challenge at Impression Obsession!
Create a square card using all IO stamps and dies, any theme works. All are welcome to play along. How easy peasy is that for a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate?! You can find all the guidelines on the IO Blog.

Take a look at what the DT created with their squares!

This is such a cute Halloween Bucket by Tara Caldwell. The pumpkin is filled will lots of fun goodies that I have colored up with Copics. I decide to color the image solid and not do any shading. Bright and bold!

I added Viva Gel Gloss to the yummy carmel apple! Several of the items have Wink of Stella. I stamped the candy corn and the handle twice and popped them up for dimension. The ghost has wiggly eyes!

The candy corn are from the Have Broom will Travel cling set. I have stamped them several times for the inside of the card. Boo to You is part of Is the Moon Out Tonight?

WITCHY MATCHBOOK CANDY HOLDER

Pop-Up Box Sneak Peak!

Whew! I just finished "teaching" my first set of classes at Impressive Ideas! It turned out to be really fun! We made three different projects, mostly concentrating on the pop-up box technique. It will be posted later! Each class had 5-7 in it and everyone was just wonderful! Bonnie and Jenny at Impressive Ideas have created such a warm and welcoming environment, they have an incredible group of customers which is the result of that!
They have most anything and everything you need or want...but, if for some reason it's not there they are more than happy to get it for you! It is with their encouragement, patience and the love of sharing and teaching that I am here blogging!

This matchbook is so easy to make and can be use for so many occasions. They are great for birthdays, party favors', any holiday cards and just for fun!
I have used a heavy card stock. The base is 8 1/2 x 2 3/4. I have scored at 3 1/2, 4, and
7 3/4. The outside has been dressed up with Impression Obsession Witches Chant stamp. It was stamped on the diagional and the the edges were torn and edged with blackbird. I've stamped Embrace your inner witch by IO with Versafine Imperial purple. The Halloween Die Set, also from IO, has been rubbed with Violet and Yellow green Inka Gold.
Tied off with a ribbon, bow and some Viva Pearl pen drops!

The best part is the goodies inside!

It really is Summer's Last Hurrah for me! I am away on my girls annual get away. There is 10 of us that are either college friends or the wives. We have been doing this for the last 25 years! Love my girlfriends!

Serendipity has given the DT an added challenge. We were to use a personal photo for inspiration and tell you about it. I used some hydrangeas from my yard for a wedding last spring. I love all the wonderful colors they display throughout their blooming cycle. There is a variety called Antique Purple and Antique Green which are two of my favorites.

I thought the antique colors looked more like fall. I colored the Hydrangea with Copics and used a little Wink Of Stella on the blossoms. The centers have been dotted with White Pearl-Viva Pearl Pen. I fussy cut the flower and leaf and popped them up for added dimension. The brad was rubbed with platinum Viva Gold. I trimmed off the bottom curve of the Hello die to fit the card.

Here are the Copics I used.

Thanks for looking!
Hope that you will join us by adding your creation to the SSCB!

ART IMPRESSIONS CHALLENGE 144

It's Thursday which means over at Art Impressions they are having a new challenge. They are also launching their new 2014 Halloween stamps, Yay! I'm entering this card in their Challenge 144.

I'm not fond of spiders but she looks pretty cute and harmless!
Be Scary Set
I have stamped the image twice. I fussy cut the legs, gloves and pumpkin then popped them up with foam tape. Her collar, gloves, pumpkin, antennas and shoes have Wink of Stella and transparent Viva Pearl Pen added to them. I've added a piece of twine for the handle on her pumpkin. The eyes on her hood have been adorned with wiggly eyes! The frames are new from Impression Obsession, loving these!
A spiderweb cut from an IO die, silk bow and twine finish off my card!

FLYING BY WITH A NEW WITCHY DIE!

IO~FLYING WITCH!
We just had a full Harvest Moon and I thought it would be a fun time to share this card with you.
Impression Obsession has some FABULOUS new dies that I have been playing with. I love making Halloween cards and the Witch Flying was calling my name!

Isn't she a beauty?!!
I love the details in this silhouette from her hair and broom to the tattered cuffs at the sleeves and around the bottom of her dress. Of course, I had to add black Wink Of Stella!
The frames that I've used to showcase her are my new favorite dies. IO has come out with the Rectangle 6 in 1 Frames, love these! I have used two of them here, pretty cool, right? The layers have all been popped up with foam tape.
Ribbons and twine were mixed together and then embellished with a resin flower that I have rubbed Violet Inka Gold on.

For the inside of my card I thought this was the perfect saying. It is from the "Have Broom Will Travel" cling stamp set. The inside is flat, can you tell which is the third frame from the die set? It's the black frame that is flush against the cream!
If you get a chance stop by Impression Obsession and see what's new!
Thanks for looking and enjoy the moonlight!

IMPRESSION OBSESSION ~ NAUTICAL BOX

SUMMER'S END ~ GREAT SAILING BEGINS!

Yay! It's friday and I have another box card to share. A short post with several pictures!
I love sailing and when these nautical dies were released I couldn't wait to play with them!

The Sailboat Dies come as a set of three.
I ran the dies a few times with different colored paper so I could make the sails a different color than the boat bottom.

The fun nautical embellishments, the anchor, wheel, lifesaver and lighthouse are all from the Mini Nautical Set.
On the backside of the lighthouse I used a gold paper so it would show through the lighthouse windows. I added the red paper also.

The waves were made with the Ocean Border Die and  Liquid Appliqué.
I hand cut the flags and fishtails banners and glued them to twine.

As the card folds flat this is what you see!
I tied knots out of twine mimicking the dp.

On the backside of the card I have used the "Hello" die from the Greetings Set. I cut the die twice and shadowed it in navy.
This card is A2 size!
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!
