Welcome to a new challenge at IO and also to a new year!
To kick off the new year the first challenge is," Shiny". Anything with a little shimmer and shine will work. So, join in and play along using your IO Stamps and dies. As always, there will be a $25 IO Gift Certificate up for grabs.
You can find all the details on the IO BLOG.

Here is some inspiration from the DT

I always struggle with photographing especially when there is not a lot of color and contrast...throw in shiny and this is what I end up with, lol! IRL it's quite lovely and done in glossy white, silver mirror and the BG is a rich grey StarDream paper.

I love interactive cards and this was so easy to do.
The SNOWFLAKE DIE SET was used. The larger snowflake was cut twice. I glued a silver metallic string down the middle of the flake before adhering the two together back to back. A white layer was made and temporarily placed onto the card base. A circle cut was made using a die that was larger than the flake. The string was placed between the two layers (white & grey) and then permanently taped together.
The WELCOME DIE was cut twice. The mirror paper was taped on top of the darker grey to shadow it.

Inside was kept very clean and simple using the numbers from the CLASS OF DIE SET.

Thanks for Looking!

Happy New Year!
Karen here with a calendar panel thats easy!
Taylored Expressions has these wonderful calendars that are 5x7. I have had fun coloring the watercolor panels that coordinate with them but wanted to do something different.

I used some cute left over scraps from Photo Plays Snowball Fight and made the bg.
Instead of making strips of paper for the layers I've used Rainbow Tape! The Metallic Purple 1/8" and Silver 1/32" gives it just a little shimmer! I love how easy the White Crepe Tape is to color with Copics. This is a great way to insure that your elements match perfect with your colored images.

Speaking of images...How adorable are these from IO!
Here is a closer look at the Rainbow Tape.

Welcome to Serendipity's first challenge in the new year!
Want to play along for a chance to win a $20 Serendipity Stamps Gift Certificate?
It's easy, especially with the theme of ANYTHING GOES! Just use SS and create! If you are new to our challenges you can go HERE to the SSCB to find all the details.

Here is a few ideas from the SSDT
Karen Amidon...that's me!

Serendipity has many beautiful floral images.
Here I have used PETUNIAS. I used the MISTI and stamped the image in Yetti white. After letting the ink dry I stamped again using Versamark.
To color, Pan Pastels were rubbed over the image using a makeup sponge. The PP Colorless Blender was then rubbed over all of it to blend and soften the colors.
Stamping HAPPY BIRTHDAY and adding a few layers makes for a very easy Birthday card!

Inside I have used, "IT'S A SPECIAL DAY!"

Thanks for looking and I hope that you will play along!

Colored with Copics, the LOVE SQUARE has been popped up with craft foam onto the bg.

Inside says it all, I LOVE YOU!
This is an easy quick card to make. It measures 4"x4".

This little darling is from Lindsay Ostrom. HEATHER my FEATHER has been colored with Copics. Her hair buns and feather were stamped again and fussy cut. To give added dimension, I used a silicone gel on them.
I love that her sign has been left blank so you can fill in with any message! Here I have used HUGS & KISSES  from the MORE BASIC GREETINGS Set. This set has been a favorite of mine for everyday sayings.

For the inside of the card I have used LIKE CRAZY
All of these stamps are perfect for creating a card for a special friend in addition to a Valentine!

Thanks for looking and see you back tomorrow!

The holidays are here, do you ever find yourself scrambling for a gift?
December's last challenge is to use Impression Obsession stamps and design a gift. Play along for a chance to win a $25 IO Gift Certificate. New to our challenges, welcome! You can find all the details on the IO Blog.

The Impression Obsession DT has some exciting news! We are welcoming not one but two very talented designers to the team! Hello and welcome to Ilina Crouse from Creativity Within and Kelli Hull~Stamping with a Dream.

I adore Lindsay Ostrom's images. When I saw her last release I knew that a book was coming...I had so much fun making it I even turned this into a class! This makes for a wonderful gift, perfect for a mantel decoration or the coffee table.
IO stamps used:

The papers are from Carta Bella called Christmas Delivery.

The images were colored with Copics.
And so the story this car!

All the stamps used for the book can also be purchased in cling. There are three cling sets  that have the images that make up this book.

Here is the front and the back of the book. I have tied twine in between each of the 1/4" folded scores that make up the spine.

The backside of the book has magnets in between each set of pages. There is four pages that are blank leaving room for family pictures or journaling the holiday memories!

Not enough time to make a book?
How about embellishing a jar full of hot cocoa makings!

A gift of warm hugs!
The Mitten Die has been a favorite this season. So easy to make into fun tags. The top of the jar is decorated with snowflake die cuts and stamped with Warm Hugs!

Thanks for looking and Happy Holidays!
