IMPRESSION OBSESSION DT THURSDAY

Hi there and welcome to IODT Thursday!

Today I am sharing with you a Z card.
These are simple and fun to make. I went with 3 panels but they can be as long as you like!

I started with a 13 1/4 x 4 1/4 sheet of white linen for the base.
Score at 4 1/4, 4 1/2, 8 3/4, and 9.
I wanted to pop some of the layers so I made the spine 1/4 inch to accommodate the extra bulk.

The foral stamps are from Lindsay Ostrom. Each image is darling and great for a trio or individually. The sentiments are from the clear set called Flower Pots. This set includes 9 floral bouquets the pot ands 4 sentiments!

The colorful papers are from EP Hello Spring and Doodlebug Petite Prints. The images were colored with Copics. Glossy Accents was added along with bows tied in a baby fork! Bakers twine was used along the spines and tied with bows on the back.
The closed book measures 4 1/2 x 4 1/2.

Thanks for visiting!

The Thistle stamp is one of many images that Serendipity offers that are fun to color.
Today though, I am trying something a little different for me!
I, like so many are in awe of Birgit's talent. Here card here inspired me to try this technique!
I colored directly onto the rubber stamp with watercolor markers. I lightly spritzed with water and then stamped onto WC paper. The BG layer was colored with Distress Oxides and then embossed with the Floral BG die.

This image is the secondary stamping off the first card! A little extra bonus when you add more water to the rubber! I knew when I started painting the BG I should have stopped but, noooo I kept going! Oh well, I will keep practing ;)

Decided to play one more time with the image!
I have found that I could sit a make Oxide BG's all day long!
This is a very easy way to color up an image and have you BG done all at the same time.

Paper is key!!
I love using Curious Cryogen or Stardream. They both have a coating and a slight shimmer. The inks are like butter on the paper, not chalky!
To apply the Distress Oxide Inks to the stamped image I used the small eyeshadow sponges. The BG was done the same way blending the two colors together.
Spritz with water, heat dry and spritz again. I do this several times.
Stamp your sentiment and you are good to go!

Serendipity has many images of florals, but today I have inked up the Clover.
I love flowers, foliages and even some weeds! The clover gets a bad rap but they are drought tolerant and they bloom!
