Welcome to a new IO challenge-Happy Birthday
Play along and enter for a chance to win a $25 Impression Obsession Gift Certificate. Use all IO dies/stamps and link up! You can find all the guidelines on the IO Blog.

Here is some inspiration from the DT
 Anna Wight

Last week at Impressive Ideas we had the pleasure of Melinda Doster sharing her techniques for creating backgrounds with PanPastels. WOW, what talent! She is so engaging, funny and her designs are beautiful! What a treat, thank you Mitra and Melinda!

I made the background using the Cover-a-Card Broken Link. It was stamped with Versamark and the PanPastels were rubbed over it.
The silhouette stamp from Dina is Girl Swing and happy day is from Valentine Brush Words.

On the inside, Happy Birthday is from the cling set of Everyday Words.

Thanks for looking and have a happy day!

Memories of childhood friends..Friends Forever!
Dina Kowal has such a talent for capturing the moment with her wonderful silhouettes!
Twirling is one of my many new favorites!
I added the pink ribbon and bows using the Gown die.
The friends script is from the clear set of Love Lines.

The friend sentiment used here is from the True Blue Friend
set. The stamp actually stamps a clean image! I wanted a soft grey colored ink and it bled a little, oops!

Distress inks were used on the solid bottom layer of the Fancy Butterfly die cut. I love the intricate design of this die and it cuts beautifully.

Thanks for looking!

The Tandem Bicycle is 50% Off for the month of February

I have made a fun and easy cover for a note pad decorating it with the stamp of the month!
The Tandem Bike was stamped and colored with Copics. I stamped the front tire and basket again, colored them and then fussy cut. I curved the tire and basket with a ball stylus and used silicone to hold and keep the shape. These two pieces were then glued over the same part of the stamped image.
The balloons were die cut from the new Party Balloons die which also have silicone for dimension.

A bike isn't complete without colorful streamers, right? These were made with embroidery thread. A little dusting of Wink of Stella and some shiny gloss dresses up this girlie bike!

For the inside I found this sweet note pad that measures 3.5in x 7.5in. I added a tear off calander and a side pocket.

This is super easy to make!
For this one I made a ribbon tie closer. A magnet with a decorative die cut works great too!

Ribbon closer measurements: Base 9 1/4" x 8"
Score at: 1/2, 4 3/8, 4 7/8, 8 3/4
Fold on all score lines-bump side in!
Cut a slit for your ribbon on the 1/2" tab scoreline that is on either side. Thread ribbon through slit. Tape or glue down ribbon under this tab to secure. (Make sure that the ribbon is not longer than the folded tab!) The whole tab can be taped flat now.
I have used a heavy weight paper and reinforced the spine and sides by adding extra layers.

Time to decorate...have fun!

The Serendipity guest designer for the month of February is the fabulous, Darnell Knauss from djkardkreations!
