TAG YOU'RE... IT #31

I am playing along in the Tag You're It Challenge this week.
The challenge is to create a tag that is inspired by this lovely design from Jeanne!

Inspiration Photo By Jeanne Jachna

I love how she has used the gold paper for her leaf die cut, so simple and elegant!

I used Jeanne's leaf theme, sequins and a touch of gold.
The stamps and dies are from Serendipity.

I have a second tag to share using the same idea...CAS is a real challenge for me!

To play along you can find the details here on the Tag Your It Blog

Create a background using Serendipity stamps or dies for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate. Link up...you don't need a blog to play. You can find all the details on the Serendipity Blog.

The stamp of the month is 50% OFF
Jeanne made an awesome card using the Japanese Maple stamp for her background. If you missed it, you can see it here!

Check out the backgrounds from the DT

This is the bg I made that inspired my card.
I have used distress inks and the Retro Starburst Cling Set.

This is what I ended up with!
I love the elegant simplicity of the Berry Sprig. The Merry Christmas stamp was used by masking off the, "Christmas".

All of these stamps are used on the PPP Stitched Duo 3 tag that Serendipity carries.

The berries were colored up with Copics, Wink and then Rock Candy Stickles to add a little winter feel. On the black paper Christmas was heat embossed using detailed holographic ep.

JUST FOR FUN!

Happy Friday!

I wanted to share two fun purse ideas I made as gifts.
Die cuts and embellies are what bring the simple base of these to their beauty! They are truly easy to make!

There are many wonderful tutorials out there on making One Sheet Wonder Bags.
Here is one I used by Kelly Gettelfinger for the basic folding instructions. Once you know the basics...have fun tweaking and adding your own designs to them!

BIRD CRAZY!

Too cute right?
As gifts, I filled these with yummy gourmet chocolates!
With the holidays coming I can think of several ways to use them.
For this purse I used the basic design instructions for 8 1/2" x 11" paper. The printed paper for the base was made using paints and stencils. For the top flap I used one of the Nesting Frame 7 dies on the diagonal. The embellishment here is one of my favorites!  One of Tim Holtz Bird Crazy images was colored with pencils, fussy cut and then heat embossed with UTEE. This technique gave her a wonderful thick enamel finish. Underneath the flap and on the inside of the purse there are two small magnets from Basic Grey that keeps this little baby snapped together with easy open and close features! Scraps of ribbons were braided together to make the handle.

Same basic design again using  8 1/2"x11" paper only this time it has been scored to make the long purse instead of tall. G45 paper was used here. The top flap was designed using Spellbinders Labels Thirty-Six.
The butterfly embellishment I made in a wonderful Faux Metal Art class that I took from Cheryl Lea at Impressvie Ideas. Perfect for the clasp on this purse.

Thanks for looking and have fun!

Check out the cards the DT has created for you today

I have three Halloween cards that I am sharing with you today. This kookie box was made using stamps from the Fall/Winter release that came out recently. Ole Whatshisname, Crazy Eyes and the Three Stooges are the pumpkin images used. Potions and Spells along with the Grass and Sm. Grass Border dies were used to fill in around the pumpkins. Isn't this  a great way to say, "have a spooktacular halloween"? The box folds flat and can easily be mailed in a square envie!

Here is a peek of NEW dies from IO. Be on the lookout for a blog hop coming up soon to showcase some fabulous designs the team has created using them. In the meantime, they are on the website here and ready for shipping!

Love the Bat Girl and the, "ghouls just wanna have fun"!

I started out by stamping and coloring my background with the sunflower stamp from the Autumn Pops.

This is what I ended up with!
"Be Happy" is from the Be Kind stamp. The green decorative border below it is part of the die cut from the Daisy Garden. I die cut  Sunflower Die 3 times. Distress ink was sponged onto the flowers petals.

Did you know that Serendipity is carrying some paper from Bo Bunny?

I'm starting to think about hot apple cider, bon fires and the beautiful colors that fall brings...until I walk outside!
The indian corn image is from the NEW Autumn Pops. There are 4 fall images and the, "Happy Fall" stamp in this collection.
I have stamped the image twice. Fussy cut the corn and used foam tape to raise it and give dimension. This design was arranged onto the Pretty Pink Posh stitched tag die that SS carries.

These leaves are from the Autumn Pops Stamps.
I have colored them with Copics and used gloss, wink and stickles on the individual leaves.

Card Inside
Take Time has been stamped in Rich Cocoa. I have added the leaf and acorn stamp and the die cuts from the Leaf Pops.

I am the last one on the hop!
Here is the full list

FEATHERED FRIENDS!

We love seeing your designs that you have created using Impression Obsession. Join in and play along for a chance to win a $25 IO gift certificate. Link up!
For more challenge details you can go to the IO Blog.

Take a look at the Feathered Friends the DT girls have:

It must be the fun colors and quirky images that I love so much about making Halloween cards. My Feathered Friend is the Owl On Broom. There are seven images in this collection designed by Gail Green.
I think, "if the broom fits" fit perfectly!
I have framed this little beauty using the Square 2 All-in-One Frames.

Card Inside
IO Cover-a-Card stamps are such an easy way to make your own dp. The Lattice design that has been used here is one of my many favorites! It was stamped onto the Square Shaker Frame Die cut using green ink.
Isn't this a fun way to say, Happy Halloween?

Looking forwarding to seeing who your feathered friend is!
