The DT was challenged to use a chalkboard technique and buttons. Here are their links:
Karen Amidon...me!

The Cottage image was inked with Versa Magic- Cloud White onto black cardstock. It was then embossed with detailed white. I repeated the same steps with the "friends" stamp. With a white chalk pencil I ran a line near the edge of the rectangle die. The fun buttons repeat the colors in the paper.

For the inside, the Welcome stamp turned out perfect for the chalkboard technique! I thought this card would be fun to give to a new neighbor. The buttons were made from circle dies and a small hole punch.
Splitcoaststampers has wonderful tutorials. The Chalkboard technique can be found here by Beate Johns.

Thanks for looking!

  1. Karen this cottage stamp is just too cute, one I don't have but love. Your card is adorable with these buttons and wonderful paper . The inside of your card could pass for a card itself . I love the way you finished the inside. Those flat buttons are perfect.
