Snow and mittens...Wishful thinking here in the south!
The snowflakes are from the Snow word die and they are topped off with pom-poms. The card is made like a shaker but the snowflakes have been glued in a permanent spot. No coloring for this one. The Mittens were stamped and embellished with twine and enamel dots.
Serendipity has several word backgrounds. Here I have used the Winter Fun Background.

On the inside I stamped Baby it's Cold.

Don't forget...We have an exciting Blog Hop coming up on September 4th!

ART IMPRESSIONS CHALLENGE 166

I am playing along in the Ai challenge which is Anything Goes
You can see all the fun and fabulous designs on the Ai Blog.

I have been playing with the Ai TryFolds lately and just love them! For this card I have used a portion from the Cottage TryFold.
A few die cuts and popped layers frame this sweet image.
The flowers on the sentiment were fussy cut from one of the flower pots.
Doesn't the cat look so cozy curled up in the garden chair?

IO has so many fabulous phrases, sayings and individual words. These all make for a great project or card.

It's just that easy...Blow your worries away!
The bg was made using the Bokeh technique. The blue inked circles are from the Stratosphere stamp by Seth Apter. Seth's designs are new to IO and his stamp artwork is wonderful for mixed media.

I am...Always Grateful
For this bg, I heat embossed the Vintage Rosy Vine in detailed white ep over another style of the Bokeh technique. The square that frames the saying is from the All-in-One Frames-Square 2.

Always good intentions...Meant to Behave!
This one is great for journaling! It's been framed with the All-in-One Frames-Rectangles 2
and the Open Scroll Leaf die.

With anything goes...let's see what surprises the DT girls have!
Karen Amidon...that's me!

The Rooster was just singing to be used in a pop-up box card!
I had made this card for last weeks blog hop but after making several cards I decided to save it for this weeks challenge.

I have used the NEW Bandana Stamp for the side flaps. It was stamped in Memento's Love Letter Ink onto the yellow dp. Don't you just love the, "Cock-a-doodle do...What's up with you?"

I thought the Cottage Stamp was a cute image for the background scene.

A matching envie is always fun and adds so much.

The Bird Dies have been a HUGH hit!
Here I have decked them out for the winter holidays and Wishing You, "Joy".
FYI...The Wishing You is in the $1 Cling Sale!!
The Pretty Pink Posh Tag has the Snowflake Cling Set heat embossed with an iridescent ep.

Here's a little close-up of this handsome guy!
I trimmed both birds with the Holly Lace Flourish Die.

ART IMPRESSIONS CHALLENGE #165

I'm joining in the challenge over at Art Impressions for their Create A Card Set.
Head over to the Ai blog to see all the wonderful designs.

I went with a wine lovers theme-birthday gift set.

My inspiration came from the Tuscan Tryfold Set.

The button with charm is used to tuck and hold the front of the card.
As you open the Tryfold card this is what you see.
I love how each image is beautiful all on its own.

Wouldn't you love to be here...under the Tuscan sun!

The Ai Girlfriends are always having fun!
This is from the the Wine Tasters Set What a perfect sentiment for that special birthday!
The diamond bg design paper is stamped with an IO Cover-a-Card.

Isn't Celeste wonderful? With that expression I can hear her talking!
She comes with the saying, "At our age we're going to need glasses...lots and lots of them!"

SERENDIPITY STAMPS BLOG HOP!

We are sharing the newest release from Serendipity with a blog hop. I love these small monthly releases and hope that you are enjoying them too!
Play along by commenting on all the blogs for a chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate to the Serendipity Store
You can leave comments through Sunday August 9  Mary will announce a winner on Monday August 10.

You should have arrived here from MARY'S BLOG!
Here is the order of the hop

How sweet is this NEW birdie? She's been embellished with one of the fun hats from the Birdie Die collection. In the dies there is a really cute top hat, sock hat, holly and another flower! Perfect for a winter scene and the holidays.
I die cut a circle from the center of the NEW Bandana Stamp.  The cut-out frames the Daisy that she is perched on. Of course, I just had to add the,"You're so tweet!"

The Cowgirl is actually from lasts month's release but I thought that she paired so nicely with the NEW Bandana Stamp. See how the pink center die cut was used from the above image! The tag that she is stamped on is PPP stitched duo 3. Be on the lookout...paisleys and bandanas are very popular right now.

Here I have used both birds from the Birdie Dies. This was a quick and easy card using die cuts and some pattern paper. The two vellum window panes are from PPP Stitched duo 3 that Serendipity is carrying.

Last card I promise! Can you tell that I am loving this release?!!
A quick wash of water colors for the bg. The Hot Air Balloons are all on one die! I added a few extra clouds for some dimension along with the stamped, "Let Your Dreams Soar".

Next on the Hop is the talented:
MARYBETH LOPEZ

FREE shipping on all US orders of $15 or more Good 8/7 to 8/9

IMPRESSION OBSESSION FALL CHALLENGE

The dog days of summer are here but we are cooling things down at IO with Fall Colors. Join in for a chance to win a $25 Impression Obsession gift certificate. Just use IO stamps or dies, fall colors and link up! You don't have to have a blog to play!
For more challenge info you can go here to the IO Blog.

The colors of fall from the DT

Gary Robertson has created a wonderful fall Cornucopia. His images always show great detail with shading making it easy to color. I've used the Cover a Card Canvas stamp for one of the background paper layers. The sentiment is from the Be Grateful Cling Set

The new Fall Words Block stamp has been heat embossed in Copper. The All-in-One Frames-Rectangles 2 dies have been used for all the layers.  The pattern on the outside frame was stamped in green using the Diamond Maze Cover-a-Card.
The card is embellished with die cuts from the Leafy Branch and Leaves . I rubbed Inka Gold on the leaves to tie in the metallic paper.
